Meet a Conversa: My personal journey from Catholicism to Judaism; and how my art work has reflected my transformation.


Students and adults will get a chance to hear from Sonya Loya, an artist from Ruidoso, NM., who has returned to her ancestral Jewish faith and the emotional and spiritual journey that went the change. Her talks will be illustrated with the art work that evolved from that experience.

A "lunch and learn" talk at the Friedberg JCC's in Oceanside, N.Y. that will include the newest research into the life of Dona Gracia, including research techniques used.

A session on Dona Gracia will be part of a week-long program studying Jews in the Renaissance. Berkshire Hills Adult Vacation Center, Copake, N.Y.
